Aisa Group starts the construction of the Calicanto Photovoltaic Park in the Belgrano department, San Luis, a key project within its plan for energy diversification and strategic investments in the country. The project will be built on 71.9 hectares and will have an installed capacity of 51 MWp, with an estimated generation of 110.1 GWh annually, enough to supply more than 80,000 homes. Its connection to the Argentine Interconnection System (SADI) will be made through two underground lines of 33 kV and a new transformation field at the Nogolí Transformation Station. The operational start is scheduled for December 2026.
This photovoltaic park is the first link that the group is preparing in energy matters for Argentina. At the same time, it is developing an investment plan that aims to generate about 1000 MW of solar energy in the next decade. This program is under study for its adherence to the Large Investment Incentive Regime (RIGI).
This project is part of the investments that Aisa Group is making in the country, and that projects over USD 1.6 billion additional in key sectors, including mining, renewable energies, fishing, agribusiness, real estate development, and oil & gas, all in various productive sectors of Argentina.
Among the group's main milestones are the reactivation of the Gualcamayo mine and the development of the new Deep Carbonates mine in San Juan, the purchase of the fishing company Cabo Vírgenes in Chubut; and the transformation of the former Cinzano site, also in San Juan, into a combined business and housing real estate development.
"Calicanto is not just a solar park: it is a concrete contribution to the development of San Luis and a sign of confidence in the energy potential of Argentina. Our commitment is to deliver a project of technological excellence, generating employment and value for the local community," said Juan Manuel López, Manager of Calicanto.
For his part, Juan José Retamero, head of the family owning Aisa Group, highlighted: "Our vision is clear: to invest with 100% private capital to create a future in Argentina. Calicanto, along with our initiatives in mining, fishing, oil & gas, and real estate development, are pillars of a long-term plan that seeks to generate employment, exports, and genuine growth for the country."
